ČD Cargo, a. s. provides shipping of industrial and agricultural commodities, crude materials, fuels, goods, containers, and oversized loads. It also provides rentals of cargo wagons, rail siding services and other transport services. It provides cargo transport services to its customers through its 1,066 stations. It performs transportation of about 25 thousand wagons, loaded with various goods, within the railway network every day.

Future
In terms of its outputs, the České dráhy, a.s.’ cargo transport service company, ČD Cargo, a.s., takes 5th place within the E.U.; it plans to keep its position in future as well, despite ever-increasing competition in the liberalized cargo transport market. Therefore, our priorities include a necessary investment in infrastructure to support the connection of industrial premises to the railway network, and the development of combined transport terminals and logistic centres. In the course of the next two years, ČD Cargo, a. s., will put over 1,450 new or modernized railway cargo wagons into service.

Implementing a quality management system according to the ISO 9001:2000 standard: this is one of the priorities of České dráhy’s executive management. The ČD, a.s. cargo transport service operated under the ‘ČD Cargo’ brand was certified under the above standard by Moody International, s.r.o., the certification authority, on 19-02-2007.
